Irma Garcia B.A., LMT, MLD, CLT

Irma graduated from EPCC Valle Verde

Campus with dual Associate degrees in

Psychology and Kinesiology. She then earned

a B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in

Humanities from UTEP. Her passion for

helping others led her to work as a caregiver

in hospice care, where she gained valuable

experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant in

in-home hospice services. During this time,

she also worked part-time as a Registered

Behavioral Therapist for autistic children.

In 2017, after surviving a critical car injury,

Irma discovered the profound impact of

various forms of therapy. Massage therapy, in particular, became a key interest as she found relief from her edema diagnosis through treatment by Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLTs) and massage therapy at a chiropractor’s office. Her rehabilitation journey taught her the importance of muscle strength, flexibility, and understanding the pain and swelling she experienced. This encouraged her to expand her knowledge of the lymphatic system while balancing her recovery, education, and the start of her own business.

Now with over seven years of consecutive experience, Irma is dedicated to changing the perception of massage therapy from a luxury spa experience to a legitimate medical alternative. With faith, courage, and gratitude for her loved ones and clients, she is now the proud owner of R&R Rest and Recover Massage Therapy.

Irma’s clientele includes government officials, post-surgery patients, the elderly, and UTEP students. She is passionate about giving back to the community, serving local charities, and volunteering with organizations as well as employee local wellness programs.

Recognizing the importance of self-care and a pain-free life, Irma takes the time to listen and develop personalized action plans for all clients and for every single session. R&R Rest and Recover Massage Therapy proudly serves the beautiful city of El Paso.
